FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at Bovington Heath.
Four fire crews dealt with the fire involving 100m x 100m of heathland on Thursday afternoon.
Fire engines from Bere Regis, Poole and Swanage rushed to the scene at 2.18pm along with 4x4 pumps from Poole and Hamworthy and a water carrier from Ringwood.
The fire was extinguished by 3.22pm using four hoses and beaters.
All appliances left the scene shortly after 4.30pm.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said military personnel dealt with some hotspots on Thursday night with a reinspection carried out by the fire service on Friday morning.
The following night, crews were called to another large incident in the countryside. Poole Fire Station were tasked with an out of control fire near Wareham on Friday, July 17.
They were assisted by Wareham Fire Station and the fire was quickly extinguished.
