Anti-social behaviour, excessive drinking and a car meet kept police officers busy.
Weymouth and Portland Police were out on patrol in their van last night.
A spokesman said: “The van is being kept busy tonight. Following reports of some anti-social behaviour in the area of the park behind the swimming pool, a group of youths were moved on and some alcohol seized.
“The group were told to leave the area and the alcohol will be disposed of.”
Later on in the evening, officers were called to help a drunk woman.
The spokesman added: “We've been putting our first aid training to good use. We were called to assist a female who had had a bit too much to drink and remained with her until an ambulance arrived.”
Officers were also aware of a car meet taking place in the town last night.
They wished all those taking part to have a safe evening and said they may even pop down with the van.
