Firearms police officers were called to Weymouth train station last night after a drunken brawl broke out.
It was reported by Weymouth and Portland Police that there was a group of approximately 30 drunk young men and women, some of whom had been fighting, on the train platform at about 8pm yesterday.
Due to their disorderly behaviour, there were significant delays with the train.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Following careful negotiations with the train staff, two officers travelled with the youths out of town, leaving one young man behind who was detained for drunk and disorderly and trespass on a railway.
"Nobody was injured and thanks to some quick decisions between agencies, the trains were soon up and running as normal. Apologies if anybody's journey was delayed as a result of this incident."
Officers from Team Purple Weymouth response teams, Neighbourhood Policing and Firearms were called to the incident.
