In the middle of July I suffered a stroke, dialled 111 and soon had an ambulance at the house.
I know that various health bodies want computer “tick boxes” filled in but think this a better, more personal way to respond.
The doctors, nurses, nursing assistants were brilliant. Although probably short of staff due to Covid-19, they all did their jobs in 12.5 hour shifts with absolute care and kindness, cheerfully from beginning to end of shift. Nothing was to much trouble.
I probably should not pick out names but Jassmin, Dawn and Johno the night shift nurse deserve particular mention. The therapist also deserve praise. The chef produced the best soup and steak pie I have ever had.
The Stroke Unit at Dorset County Hospital is the standard the NHS needs to uphold
I cannot praise all the staff enough and I can not thank them enough. Front line staff you deserve all the pay you get plus 50% more.
Thank you, thank you.
