Police received a message of thanks from a local resident after helping to find two high-risk missing people yesterday.
Weymouth and Portland police officers and a dog handler were called to two separate high risk missing persons within an hour yesterday.
A team spokesman said: "Thankfully both were located safe and well very promptly and returned to a place of safety.
"The Team Sergeant was delighted to have received the following email from one of the persons friends... 'Hi, I just want to say a big thank you to all of you that helped this evening! ****** has been checked over by the ambulance and she's now safe with a friend. You have all been amazing'. This is just the message needed to round off a busy night shift."
