THE passing of the Trade Bill removes MPs’ right to debate or alter any aspect of UK trade with the world.

So much for taking back control. After four years, we still have no deal with the EU. China has been comprehensively sidelined. Australia has said we are third in line, after the US and the EU, and India will require relaxed visa rules. All this means whatever the US demands, it will almost certainly get. Brave new world?
