Officers investigating a road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
The collision occurred at the junction of Leigh Road and Parmiter Road in Wimborne at around 9am on Saturday, August 1, and involved a blue and white Triumph motorcycle and a silver Ford Transit van.
Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the motorcyclist – a local man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious chest injuries.
Police Constable Tim Gooding, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out an investigation into this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was travelling in the area at the relevant time and has dashcam on their vehicle to please check their footage for anything relevant.”
