A Range Rover and a jetski trailer were pulled from the sea after getting stranded by the incoming tide.

Coastguards were alerted to the incident in Bowleaze Cove at about 6.45 on Sunday evening.

A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The team was requested at 18:45 to attend a car in the water on the slipway at Bowleaze.

"The owner of the Beachside used his tractor and towed the car to safety before recovering his jet ski.

"Wyke Coastguard was tasked to ensure no lives were in danger or endangered in the recovery of property."

John Hall, from Andover, saw the incident after visiting the town for the weekend.

He said: "My grandson wanted to go onto the beach and it was a lot less crowded.

"You could see the Range Rover sat in the water at that point when we arrived.

"They had a tractor pulling it out the water, the Range Rover came first then the trailer came after.

"I don't think it had broken down or anything, because they looked like they were driving it after."
