Officers searching for a man who has gone missing from the Bridport area are appealing for information from the public to help find him.
At around 2.40pm on Tuesday, August 4, William Price, 30, attended Bridport Community Hospital on Hospital Lane. He left before staff assessed him and was said to be in a distressed state.
He told staff he was staying on a nearby beach. Searches of the Bridport and surrounding area have taken place involving officers and the NPAS helicopter, but William has not been located. He has links to Sherborne and Yeovil.
William is described as white, five feet nine inches tall, of medium build, with mousey brown hair and a beard. He speaks with a strong Liverpool accent and was wearing a dark blue polo shirt and blue shorts, both with a white emblem on the side, and white trainers.
Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “We know William was upset earlier and we are becoming increasingly concerned for him. I appreciate the photo is not very clear but it is all we have at this time.
“I would like to hear from anyone who has seen William or a man matching the description given.
“Finally, if William sees this appeal I would ask him to please contact us – we just want to check you are safe.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to where William might be is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 4:239.
