FIREFIGHTERS in Weymouth were kept busy yesterday with multiple emergency calls.
Just after 11am a crew was called to a car on fire in Nottington, which was put out using hose reel jets.
The crew was then sent to reports of a fire in a town centre building at about 1.15pm. They were joined by another crew in case this incident was serious, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
Barely minutes after returning from the previous call, both crews were sent to Littlemoor after reports of a suspected gas incident.
A spokesman for Weymouth Fire Station said: "Crews investigated with gas monitors and deemed the area safe. The incident was left in the hands of the gas board."
