A WOMAN was rescued from Weymouth Harbour after jumping into extremely shallow water.
Three fire crews, police, ambulance and the coastguard were called to the incident at about 3.30am this morning, after a woman jumped about 10ft from the quayside into the harbour, which was very shallow at the time.
The woman was then stuck and firefighters used a ladder to get down to her so paramedics could treat the woman. A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team said: "She was then floated the short distance to a pontoon on the fire services inflatable rescue sled. From there it was a quick transfer to the paramedics stretcher and onwards to hospital."
