NEWS of an increasing spike of Covid-19 in the North of England. It is due to people flaunting social distancing in pubs. That has been the caused of rapidly spreading the virus.
If the Ironman goes ahead in Weymouth and the surrounding areas it will bring over 2,500 athletes and thousands of spectators here.
They will no doubt descend on the many eateries and pubs, the perfect environment to super spread Covid-19. This seems positively insane under the current circumstances.
So far we have been fortunate in our area with no major outbreaks. But this foolhardy event could change all that.
