We can’t believe how cute this latest batch of new arrivals being welcomed to Dorset is.

There are plenty of pictures of proud mums and dads and siblings to enjoy on this page, which brings you a second helping of our popular New Arrivals page for the week.

These adorable youngsters who are scattered across the county, with all but one born at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, can be seen with siblings and parents or simply looking irresistable on their own.

Dorset Echo:

Orson Emerson Wood, born March 28 st DCH weighing 6lb 1oz to Siobhan Perkins and Andrew Wood of Blandford. Brother for Nyla Eve, Paisley Ella and Esther Eden Wood.

Siobhan said: "I went in to have an induction on the 27th March 2020. Unfortunately my induction did not quite go to plan due to issues with my babies heart rate being high eventually this meant I ended up with a c section and having my baby taken away to special care at 10 minutes old due to breathing difficulty where he was treated for suspected sepsis and respiratory distress. I spent the first couple of days without my baby by my side and being able to hold him, this was also during a time where support of family and friends was unable to happen due to coronovirus and the lockdown which was a extremely different experience to the support with my other 3 babies. I will forever be thankful for my midwife who supported me through my pregnancy and during my labour and birth of my boy. She was truly outstanding."

Dorset Echo:

Eva Jane Allen, born April 10 at DCH weighing 5lb 15oz to Tiffany Turner and Kevin Allan of Swanage. Sister for Harry, Joseph and Lucas.

Tiffany tells us: "I went in to be induced on the 9th and gave birth naturally on the 10th at 6.50pm active labour time of 1hr and 34mins. Midwives and maternity unit were great considering the circumstances. I couldn't see any difference in the way they worked apart from the extra PPE worn to keep them and us safe. Have had all 3 of my children there and would always recommend DCH Maternity. Many thanks to all midwives at DCH."

Dorset Echo:

Blake Jonathan Park, born March 27 at DCH weighing 8lb 1oz to Rachel and Christopher Park of Blandford. Brother to Piper.

Rachel tells us: "Blake was born one week into the lockdown. Family came for what we called ‘window viewings’ and we took photos through the glass for his baby book. It’s been hard and lonely being in lockdown with a newborn and toddler but they definitely keep you busy and we are so looking forward to when his family can finally give him a cuddle and get to know the cheeky little chap he is becoming!"

Dorset Echo:

Matteo Christopher Principato, born April 7 at DCH weighing 8lb to Theresa Lindsey Cullinane and Emanuele Principato of Sturminster Newton

Theresa said: "I was induced at 10am Saturday 4th April. After 6 pessaries over 48 hours, I finally went into labour at 5pm on the 6th of April. My partner was called at 8:30pm (approx.) and Matteo was born at 1:21am on Tuesday. He was taken straight to SCBU as he was 15 days overdue and had swallowed meconium. Matteo and I had to stay in hospital without his father for five days whilst he was on antibiotics. We were finally allowed home on the evening of the 11th, in total, I was in hospital for 8 days. I cannot thank all the staff at DCH Maternity enough for keeping me sane during my long visit!"

Dorset Echo:

Martha Trevett, born June 25 at DCH weighing 6lb 14oz to Emily Bond and William Trevett of Weymouth. Sister to Henry, Lottie and Sammy.

Emily tells us: "On arrival to DCH, my waters had already broken and we discovered baby Martha was unexpectedly in the breech position. We were taken to theatre for an emergency c-section, however due to the fantastic team of midwives and doctors, we were able to safely deliver Martha naturally and avoided a section! Midwife Emma was amazing. Martha is settling in with her new family and doing really well."

Harry George Purrington, born June 22 at DCH weighing 8lb to Sasha and Richard Purrington of Weymouth

Sasha tells us: "Harry was born on 22nd June 2020. Labour started quickly and he was born within 9 hours. We had to stay in hospital for 6 days but we were well looked after by the midwives and the staff in SCBU. We’d like to thank all the staff at DCH for being amazing especially with the current pandemic."

Dorset Echo:

Josie Madeleine Wilson, born May 9 at home in Weymouth weighing 6lb 11oz to Melissa Lambert and Steven Wilson. Little sister for Abigail.

Melissa said: “Josie was born on her due date (just - at twenty past midnight!) at home.

"We were supported by the wonderful midwives from the Cygnet home birth team. Our other daughter Abbie is enjoying her new role as big sister! Abbie is enjoying being big sister!”

Dorset Echo:

Aria Elizabeth Smith, born June 29 at DCH weighing 7lb 10oz to Tegan Powell and Lee Smith of Portland. Little sister to Finley and Robin Smith.

Tegan tells us: "My waters broke at home while I was with my son Finley, when I said my waters have broken my son ran to the bathroom to check and said the waters were fine.

"By the time I got to hospital and was examined I was 6cm dilated and Lee was able to join me, luckily he was only working around the corner from the hospital.

"Unfortunately things went a bit wrong at the end and I ended up having an emergency csection while under genral anaesthetic. Shortly after I was taken to theatre Aria was given to Lee where he had 2 hours of bonding time before I was out of theatre. We both were well and were able to go home the following day."
