I COULD not help but emit a snort of derision on learning that one of Donald Trump’s White House officials has contacted the Governor of South Dakota (undoubtedly on the instructions of the President himself) over the possibility of having Trump’s image added to the 60-foot high sculptures of Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson and Roosevelt that were carved into Mt Rushmore between between 1927 and 1941.

What more proof do the American people need that the 45th President of the United States suffers from delusions of grandeur?

Adding Trump to that illustrious foursome would be an insult to the memory of those colossi of American history – a pygmy among giants!

Any one of the other 40 former American presidents would be far more deserving of such an honour than Donald Trump.
