It’S time once again to peer over the garden fence and visit your beautiful gardens.

This week we’re taking a look at Seb O’Connor’s garden in Bridport and Julie Russell’s Portland garden.

Read on to find out why Seb’s ‘small patch of paradise’ means so much to him and what Julie’s favourite things about gardening are.

 

Julie’s favourite thing about her Portland garden is its colour, creativity, peace and tranquility.

Julie said: “What I love about gardening is having a sense of nurturing in nature. I like watching the plants grow and flower.”

And now take a look at Seb O'Connor's garden in Bridport....

Dorset Echo:

He said: "My favourite thing about my garden is that it's my own very small patch of paradise, it's pretty small but have turned it around from a patch of grass to plenty of plants for wildlife and myself. Especially suffering from mental health problems it's perfect to escape into."

 

Dorset Echo:

One of two ponds Seb has created out of both and old water stand bucket and an old builders’ tub. “The wildlife loves it,” he says. “I also love growing any plant that takes my fancy and watching it grow amazingly. I’ve loved gardening since I was a young child."

 

Dorset Echo:

An old pallet, used by Seb as a herb planter to grow things in above his bee house, which currently has five bees nesting in it. He said: “Gardening helps me relax. I get a buzz when I see my garden at its best in the summer months seeing all my hard work come together."
