A cyclist in his 70s has died in hospital after being hit by a car on Portland.
A crash between a brown Ford Mondeo and a cyclist happened on Sweet Hill Lane, Portland on Tuesday, August 4 at about 1.45pm.
The cyclist, a local man aged in his 70s, was seriously injured and was flown to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance for treatment.
A police spokesperson said: "Very sadly he died in hospital on on Wednesday 19 August 2020. His family is being supported by officers."
Police Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage who has not already spoken to police to please contact us.”
