THE occupants of a car ran off when stopped by police yesterday.
Police seized the car suspected of being involved in rural crime.
A spokesman for East Dorset Police said: "Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol this evening.
"One Honda CRV was seized by the team for no insurance.
"Driver and passenger ran off from police, but an investigation is underway to identify the driver."
A spokesman for Dorset Rural Crime Team confirmed it had possibly been used in rural crime in recent days.
