A man has been injured as his car flipped over during a crash.
Firefighters, police and helicopter paramedics were called to the scene at New Street, Marnhull, after a member of the public raised the alarm.
The road was closed for several hours due the accident, which happened near St Gregory's Church, but has since reopened.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said: "On arrival crews found a vehicle on its roof with one male casualty trapped via the seat-belt.
"Crews made vehicle safe and stabilised before releasing casualty with authorisation from Helicopter Paramedics. Casualty now in care of ambulance."
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Sorry we have had to close this road due to an accident. We will open as soon as we can."
