When we asked our readers to send us their photos of terrible parking in Dorset, you did not disappoint.

Residents across Weymouth and beyond have complained about vehicles parked on pavements, double yellow lines or parked the wrong way on a one-way road.

Some of the bad parking has been described as “inconsiderate” and “ridiculous” with some even blocking driveways.

In more extreme cases, vehicles have blocked pavements and caused pedestrians, parents with prams, or disabled people to bypass them by walking onto the road.

One concerned reader claimed that children “have no choice” but to walk on the road due to blocked pavements.

Scenes like these could be a thing of the past as the Government considers whether to make pavement parking illegal across the whole of England in a bid to make streets safer for disabled people and parents pushing prams.

It is already illegal in London and the ban could soon be extended to the rest of the country - giving police and local councils powers to pursue offenders through the courts and issue fines.

Here are some of the worst bits of parking Dorset Echo readers have sent.
