The footage, captioned "Stay classy Weymouth", has been widely circulated on social media.
The video shows a man in shorts walking towards the sea on the beach.
He suddenly stops and begins urinating onto the sand to the astonishment of people around him.
One onlooker did not know where to look as the man continued to urinate on the beach.
The camerawoman laughed in disbelief with another person as they tried to process what they had seen.
The man finished and turned around with his hands on his shorts.
The video has attracted a mixture of light-hearted comments and condemnation with some calling his actions "disgusting".
Many questioned why he urinated in full view of people with children nearby.
