THE man charged with murdering 59-year-old Stephen Jeffries outside a Bournemouth car park has appeared in court.
Carl Woolley, 32, of no fixed address, appeared at Winchester Crown Court today where he spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
Woolley is charged with the murder of Mr Jeffries who was assaulted at the entrance of The Avenue car park in Bournemouth on Sunday September 13.
Mr Jeffries suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital, where he died on Tuesday.
Judge Keith Cutler adjourned the case for a plea hearing to be held at the same court on November 3, with a potential trial set for January at Bournemouth Crown Court.
The judge told the defendant, who appeared without legal representation: "I will remand you in custody until that date, and if you get some legal advice by then it will help."
