A ONE day only event celebrating this history of Weymouth is taking place at a historical attraction tomorrow.
The Weymouth and Portland Heritage Roadshow will take place at Nothe Fort on Sunday.
The event will feature a number of stalls, activities, tours and games, celebrating the past of the town.
The event will cover the history of Weymouth, from the days of the Tudors to the Georgians, detailing the history of the town throughout the two World Wars, the Cold War and up to the present day.
In attendance will be representatives from Portland Museum, Weymouth Museum, the D-Day Museum, Radipole Gardens, Tudor House, The Old Town Hall, St. George’s Church, The Thomas Fowell Buxton Society, and many more.
The heritage attractions of Weymouth and Portland will be providing educational and fun-filled displays for this unique day.
