Fire crews from Dorchester were mobilised to a field of stubble on fire.
Appliances from Dorchester, Weymouth, Bridports water carrier and Bere Regis’ Land Rover also attended the incident just outside Dorchester.
The fire was brought under control and extinguished using beaters and hose reel jets.
