Coastguard crews were called to reports of an unconscious woman in Weymouth.
Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team were called at 6.30pm yesterday to reports of an unconscious woman on the rocks at Newton's Cove.
The team was on the scene within minutes but discovered a very different scene. South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust paramedics were dealing with the casualty, who had taken a tumble on a grassy slope before rolling off a low wall onto the promenade. With the situation in hand the coastguards were subsequently stood down.
