Warning on phone fraudsters targeting elderly in Dorset
POLICE are warning about phone fraudsters targeting elderly people in Dorset.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "An elderly resident recieved a call from a company which claimed to supply smoke detectors, intruder alarms and other home safety devices.
"The caller asked questions that could identify if a person was vulnerable.
"Do not engage with cold callers - you don't know who you are talking to!
"Never give out bank details or your pin number to a caller no matter who they say they are or where they claim to be from. Hang up on fraudsters."
