With reference to the multi-storey car park at Dorset County Hospital, I felt I had to write on behalf of the many people, now no longer with us, who campaigned against the hospital being built on such a restricted site.
It was felt by many that it should have been built at Littlemoor perhaps, to allow for future expansion and to serve the larger population and summer visitors and negating the need for the majority of patients and staff to travel over the Ridgeway.
If not in Weymouth then Poundbury would have been better than the Damers site, with easier access for the rest of the county.
All ancient history now but I felt it had to be said.
