Residents are urged to be vigilant after a 'suspicious incident' in west Dorset.
Dorset Police received a report of the incident in the Seaborough area on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "A resident was alerted to movement on their driveway at 2.30am Thursday morning.
"A security light came on and footsteps heard on their gravel. After opening their door, two people were seen to run to a car which then drove off.
"Please keep vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us on 101, or online at www.dorset.police.uk.. If you believe a crime is in progress, please call 999."
