Concerns for a man alone in a rowing boat was the first shout in six days for Wyke Coastguard CRT.
The team were paged at 9.15pm last night (Saturday).
A spokesman said: "We really thought we were going to get a full week off, possibly the first since early April. Just over six days since our last job we were paged at 9.15pm to concern for the only occupant of a small rowing boat.
"It was soon discovered the local fisherman was going about his normal business, judging by his catch, quite successfully too.
"We left him to continue and returned to station."
