A TEENAGER was pinned against the wall by his throat and repeatedly punched in the face during an assault in Weymouth town centre.

Police have now released CCTV footage of two men they want to speak to as part of their investigation into the attack.

At around 10.40pm on Thursday, August 20, a group of five or six men approached the 18-year-old, from Portland, and his friends outside The Swan pub in St Thomas Street.

One man pinned the 18-year-old against a wall by his throat for up to two minutes before he let go and walked off. Another man then repeatedly hit the teenager in the face.

Security staff from the pub stepped in and the man hitting the 18-year-old left.

The teenager sustained bruising to his left eye but did not require hospital treatment.

Police Constable Rory Swinden, from Weymouth Police, said: "We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have obtained CCTV images of two men we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.

"We have made efforts to identify these men, but have so far been unsuccessful and I would appeal to any members of the public who have information as to their identity to please contact us."
