A MAN arrested on suspicion of the assault of a woman in Weymouth will face no further police action.
The arrest was related to a reported altercation in Frederick Place at around 2pm on Tuesday, September 1 involving two men who allegedly approached a woman who was standing outside of her vehicle.
One man allegedly grabbed her arm and shouted abuse at her. A second man reportedly punched the car window which did not break.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and a public order offence and had been released on police bail pending further enquiries. He has now been released without charge and will face no further police action.
A 31-year-old Weymouth man who had a voluntary interview with police will also face no further action.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
