The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Dorset increased by 134 over the last 24 hours, official figures show.
There were 42 new cases in the Dorset Council area and 92 in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole (BCP) Council area.
Public Health England figures show that 1,152 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Thursday in the Dorset Council area, up from 1,110 the same time on Wednesday and 2,124 in the BCP area, up from 2,032.
The rate of infection in Dorset now stands at 304 cases per 100,000 people and 537 in the BCP region, far lower than the England average of 1,017.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 18,978 over the period, to 673,622.
Dorset's cases were among the 25,801 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 742 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
