THERE have been another 163 positive coronavirus cases reported across Dorset in the latest update from the government.

The figures cover those registered in the 24 hours up to 4pm on Wednesday, November 4.

In the Dorset Council area there were 51 new cases, meaning 2,234 people have now tested positive across the county since the start of the pandemic.

The latest seven-day rolling rate ending on October 30 stood at 103 cases per 100,000 population.

In the BCP Council area there were 112 new cases, meaning 4,311 people have now tested positive across the conurbation since the start of the pandemic.

The seven-day rolling rate in the seven days ending on October 30 for the BCP area was 206.4 cases per 100,000 population.

Across the United Kingdom, 25,177 cases were recorded in the latest update, with the total now at 1,099,059.
