I just had to write and share this, to say a big thank you to unknown person or persons.
This morning, Remembrance Sunday, my husband and I visited the Royal Naval Cemetery in Portland to pay respects to my husband’s brother who was drowned off Portland Harbour in a Royal Navy diving accident while serving in 1964.
As we passed through we noticed every grave had a hand painted poppy on a small stone.
We were so moved. No service but the cruise ships in the bay sounded their horns at 11am.
Whoever made these, you made my husband’s day.
