A man has been taken to hospital after falling through the roof of a property at a west Dorset building site.
Crews from Charmouth, Bridport and Weymouth fire stations were called to the incident at Verriots Lane, Morcombelake near Bridport, following reports that a man had fallen through a roof and was lodged in the ceiling at the property.
Fire crews received the call from the ambulance service at around 10.53 am today.
A spokesman for Charmouth Fire Station said: "On arrival we immediately requested the assistance of our technical rescue colleagues based in Weymouth as the gentleman was suffering pelvic and lower back pain and sat astride a roof beam which was part of a new roof construction.
"Crews administered first aid to the gentleman and prepared a safe platform for the oncoming paramedics and tech rescue crews to safely work from.
"On arrival of the above mentioned crews he was given pain relief and safely packaged up and removed from the top of the building being relayed to hospital by road ambulance."
