A MASSIVE haul of cannabis was seized and a man was arrested by police following a raid in Bridport town centre.
Police executed a warrant at an address in the town centre at around 8am this morning and found mountains of illegal drugs as well as cash and other drugs paraphernalia.
A 23-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and is now in custody, where he is assisting police with their enquiries.
A Bridport Police spokesperson said: "I am not here to debate which drugs should be legal or not. Cannabis is illegal. Dealers cause misery to our communities and will be targeted. Warrant executed in Bridport this morning, suspect now in custody."
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Local officers continue to work to respond to concerns surrounding suspected drug related activity in the community and we urge members of the public with information to contact us via Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101."
