Students at a Dorchester college have been told to not come in, due to a department being closed following contact with a positive case of coronavirus.
Kingston Maurward College announced on social media that - due to staff shortages caused by the need to self-isolate after contact with a positive case of Covid-19 - the Animal Welfare and Science department would be going online from Tuesday, November 17.
A spokesperson said: "Any further decision about this will be made on Friday and communicated accordingly.
"As such all Animal Welfare & Science should not come into college, until told otherwise via their college email, and will return to online learning, via their Teams pages until further notice.
"Any students who will need to self-isolate will be contacted by telephone today and emailed a letter. If you don't receive one of these then you will get updates from your tutors during the week and an overall update will be released by Kingston Maurward College on Friday.
"No other subject area is affected at this time, and students should continue to attend college."
