A CYCLIST has escaped with minor injuries after he smashed his head against a windscreen when he was hit by a car.
An 18-year-old male cyclist was hit by a car travelling past the Winton Police Station in Bournemouth yesterday evening.
The car hit the cyclist who went across the bonnet before his head smashed the windscreen, covering the driver in glass.
A spokesman for Dorset Police No Excuse Team said: "The cyclist was all in black, no helmet or lights, the bike is not repairable.
"The rider luckily only escaped with minor injuries. As you can see by the picture, he hit the windscreen with some force.
"In these circumstances we gather all the information and a decision will be made by our crash desk team who investigate if any offences were committed.
"The rider went off to hospital to be checked over, the driver was not injured."
