HUNDREDS of children across Dorset are at home today due to positive coronavirus cases at their school.
Pupils at more than 30 schools are in self-isolation following confirmed cases of Covid-19.
Many parents were notified during the half term break that their children are unable to go back into the classroom today.
In both the BCP and Dorset Council areas, the council has given a statement in relation to each school, which says: "The school is working closely with Public Health Dorset, BCP Council and Public Health England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.
"All close contacts of the confirmed case have been notified and advised to self-isolate for 14 days. Contacts of the confirmed case should get tested if they go on to develop symptoms. Even if people test negative, they must still self-isolate for 14 days."
The schools currently affected are listed alongside the date the positive case was confirmed to parents.
