Police seized a car after stopping a driver who had had their licence revoked.

Dorset Police's dedicated No Excuse road safety team spotted a car in Blandford yesterday which had no insurance or tax.

A spokesperson said: "When stopped the driver claimed his partner did the insurance a few weeks ago, a quick chat with his partner who was in the vehicle established nothing was taken out.

"A driving licence check on the driver showed the male had his driving licence revoked by DVLA, his address was five years out of date.

"The driver received a ticket to court for both offences where he’s going to find it difficult to get his licence back, the vehicle was seized.

"Please make sure all documents are all in order and addresses are updated correctly."
