A MAN was arrested for alleged drug driving whilst his children were in the car with him.
Dorset Police were called to concerns about a driver of a grey Volkswagen Golf in the Blandford area, who was reportedly driving under the influence of drugs with children in the vehicle.
The dedicated No Excuse road safety team stopped the driver in West Street, Blandford and a 40-year-old man provided a positive drugwipe for cocaine and was arrested.
A spokesperson for the team said: "He provided blood and has been released under investigation while it’s sent off to be analysed. Social services have been informed for the child’s welfare."
Dorset Police have now confirmed that the man arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.
