THERE are delays on a key road outside of Weymouth following a crash involving a motorcyclist this morning (Friday, November 27).

B3157 Coast Road is partially blocked in both directions following a crash in Langton Herring between Portesham and Chickerell.

Debris is on the road while Travel Dorset states that there are reports of fuel on the road. Traffic maps are reporting delays in and around the junction for Nottington Lane.

Police officers and ambulance services are currently at the scene as the road remains blocked.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 7.52am on Friday, November 27 to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle in the Langton Herring area of Weymouth.

"Officers attended, along with the ambulance service. It is reported that the road is blocked and there is debris in the road."

First Wessex, which runs bus services in the area, has warned passengers and residents about delays to its X53 bus service.

A spokesman said: "Due to a road traffic collision on the B3157 Coast Road between Portesham and Chickerell, the 0725 X53 services from Bridport to Weymouth College are both delayed by around 15 minutes."
