TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place on the A37 next week as highway workers tackle a number of potholes on the busy road.
The A-road, which is used by thousands of motorists to drive across Dorset and into Somerset, requires repairs.
The roadworks will take place on the A37 in Melbury Sampford, near to the rear entrance for Hazel Farm and near the Stockwood junction.
Travel Dorset states that two-way traffic lights will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday, December 7 to allow highways workers safely repair the potholes.
Motorists travelling in the area are advised to allow plenty of journey time during the roadworks.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Council said: “The works are for several potholes near the rear entrance to Hazel Farm, and one just further up the road towards the Stockwood junction.
“The works will take one day, between the hours of 9:30am and 3.30pm and the road should be clear at all other times.”
