A DRIVER has been arrested for the second time in one day for cocaine use.
Police stopped a red Nissan Micra yesterday in Christchurch following a number of reports regarding poor driving in the Boscombe area.
Officers found the male driver appeared to be under the influence of drugs so they carried out a drug test which came back positive for cocaine and he was arrested.
A spokesman for Dorset Police No Excuse team said: "The driver explained he had been arrested by Hampshire police this morning on the M27 as he was found in possession of a quantity of class A drugs, he was released this afternoon whilst that was investigated.
"The driver admitted to getting a taxi back to his vehicle and travelling back into Dorset - we are not sure if he came straight back or stopped off somewhere.
"The driver provided a blood sample for analysis at custody which has been sent off. He has been released under investigation until we get those results.
"We will be paying particular attention to this vehicle if he continues to drive."
