I read with interest today Councillor Ray Bryan’s comments regarding his agreement to raising parking fees in rural Dorset.
Cllr Bryan tells us that he expects to spend at least £50 to £60 every time he goes out for a meal and an extra £2 in parking fees ‘is less than one of the drinks I would buy at the bar, so can we please keep things in focus as far as reality is concerned’.
Perhaps Cllr Bryan would like to repeat his comments in front of Dorset people who are facing the ‘reality’ of being on furlough, have recently lost their jobs or are facing the loss of their businesses and livelihoods due to the straitened circumstances most of us find ourselves in at this present time.
