I REFER to the article Top class results for our county's schools' and the league table of Dorset Schools with regard to Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) for 11-year-olds (Echo, December 6).

Readers may well be puzzled as to why Holy Trinity School, Weymouth, was seemingly absent from the table.

The information was given to the Echo by The Department for Schools, Children and Families (DSCF). Unfortunately as a new school the DSCF do not recognise the results of Holy Trinity Junior School pupils Key Stage 2 SATs tests for this year.

With the amalgamation of Holy Trinity Infant and Junior Schools we hoped that the excellent results of our pupils would be recognised as previous data for our new school.

I have had verification from RAISEonline that our results can be used to show how well our pupils performed.

Therefore, here is the missing data from the league table for our school, as per the table: A - the number of pupils on roll eligible for assessment in National Curriculum Key Stage 2 tests = 96.

B - The percentage of pupils achieving level 4 - the expected level for the age group - in the English test = 92%.

C - The percentage of pupils absent or not able to access the test = 5%.

D - The percentage of pupils achieving level 4 in the maths test = 79%.

E - The percentage of pupils absent or not able to access the test = 4%.

F - The percentage of pupils achieving level 4 in the science test = 95%.

G - The percentage of pupils absent or not able to access the test = 0%.

We were especially pleased with last year's results and understand many of our parents' disappointment that this was not recorded.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share this with your readers.
