Dorchester Market
AS A Dorchester resident living close to the Wednesday Market, I am amazed at the report of the Markets Committee by the Echo.
Where are the comments about the tourists that come to the market from hotels in Weymouth, Bournemouth and further afield?
The market is not just for walkers, cyclists or bus travellers from the surrounding villages, it is for tourists as well. We are a Wednesday morning stop for lots of coaches.
Dorchester needs tourists as does Dorset.
The Town Councillors on the Committee seem blind to the idea of welcoming tourists.
