DELAYS are building on a key route after temporary traffic lights have stopped working.

Temporary traffic lights were installed on the B3157 Coast Road in Langton Herring, near to the junction for Nottington Lane, on Tuesday, January 5 as part of roadworks carried out by Wessex Water.

Travel Dorset has shared that the temporary traffic lights are currently not working on Monday, January 11. Police officers have been called to assist with traffic and engineers have been notified of the issue.

Traffic maps are reporting delays in and around the junction for Nottington Lane and motorists are being warned to allow plenty of journey time.

A spokesman for Travel Dorset shared: "Temporary traffic lights failed in the roadworks area at Nottington Lane (on the blind summit). Police en-route and engineers notified.

"Approach with care."
