A MAN has been treated by paramedics after suffering a 'medical episode' in a shop.
Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team were called out at 3.24pm yesterday afternoon to assist Weymouth and Portland Police and paramedics with an 'incident' on Portland.
On arrival, the team were no longer required and were stood down.
On their way back to the station, a member of the public flagged down the coastguard and requested help as a man was suffering a medical episode while he was inside a shop.
The team cared for the man until the paramedics arrived.
The team were then stood down.
A spokesman for the Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team said: "We'd like to wish the gentleman all the best in his recovery."
