AN inquest has opened into the death of a Weymouth woman.
Carol Margaret Govier died aged 75 on Boxing Day.
Bournemouth Coroner's Court heard she had died in relation to complications surrounding a kidney transplant.
Mrs Govier was set to have a kidney operation at Dorset County Hospital.
The inquest was opened on Tuesday by coroner Brendan Allen at Bournemouth Coroner's Court, in the Town Hall.
Evidence during the opening of the inquest was sworn under oath by coroner's officer Nicola Muller.
The coroner's court is now gathering statements from the family of Mrs Govier.
The next stage of the inquest will take place on June 2.
