FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a skip fire on Portland last night.
Portland firefighters were called out at 7.23pm yesterday evening to deal with a large blaze at a scrapyard in the Immosthay area.
On arrival, the crew from Portland Fire Station found a skip containing refuse which was well alight.
The crew used one hose reel, a main jet and raking equipment to extinguish the fire.
